# Finrail > Finrail is Jason Wang's personal R&D prototype for agentic banking: an MCP server and ChatGPT app that lets an AI assistant read a bank's accounts and transactions, show spending, plan goals and ask the bank to make payments. It runs as a private developer-mode plugin against a test bank that holds only fake data. This page is for both humans and AI agents. Last updated: 2026-10-27. First-party: approved by Jason Wang. ## What it is, and isn't - An experiment in what a bank has to expose, and to control, before an AI agent can safely act for a customer. - Not a product. There's no sign-up, no public listing and no real customer data. - The sign-in page works only for members of the test bank. ## What the demos show - ChatGPT reading balances and transactions through MCP tools, with an interactive spending view. - Goal planning that keeps bank facts apart from the user's own assumptions. - Payments that go through the bank's own controls: when the bank asks for approval, the assistant waits for it. ## Where to go next - Humans: - AI agents: - Essays on agentic banking: - Found a security problem? Email . ## For MCP clients The MCP endpoint is , using OAuth with PKCE (discovery at `/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource`). It serves only test-bank members.
